On Sunday 3 April 2016 I had a stall at Hunter Arts Network’s first Art Bazaar at Speers Point Park. We were pleased with the new location which attracted a large crowd, the sun was good to us & I had a very successful day selling my two largest framed paintings!
My exhibition at Gallery & Grind Belmont finishes this Saturday 19 March so there is still a couple of days to pop in & have a look! 600 Pacific Highway, Belmont, open Mon – Fri 5.30am-3pm, Sat 7am-3pm, Sun 7am-1pm weekdays.

Sand Dollars are a species of extremely flattened, burrowing sea urchins whichĀ consists of plates arranged in a fivefold radial pattern.

MARGO Humphries is the guest artist at Belmontās Gallery & Grind during January and February.
Gallery & Grind is a family-run business that incorporates both a cafe and an art gallery in the one space.
Born and raised in Taree, at the age of 12 she entered the Walkom-Manning Art Prize and won the Children of the Manning Youth Award with Wingham Brush. Her hobby became a profession in 2009 when she started her business, Kasarn Designs.
In 2011 Margo was one of 10 artists selected for the Mattara Festivalās inaugural Outdoor Art Exhibition, and her Look up in the Sky Tonight was draped over Newcastle Panthers.
She has had solo exhibitions at Suspension Espresso, Islington; Finite Gallery, Caves Beach; Tartuca Espresso Bar Bistro, Denman; and Goodness Me Organics, Adamstown.

Margo Humphries is a visual artist who has been based in Lake Macquarie since 2003. Born & raised in Taree, Margo has always enjoyed art, it was her favourite subject in school, and her parents always encouraged her. Painting is something that Margo has always practiced, first as a hobby, then it became more than that when she established her business in 2009.
In 2013 Margo painted an artwork commissioned for the cover of Newcastle University Choirās first CD, Encore. Since 2012 Margo has exhibited at every Hunter Arts Networkās Art Bazaar, now held every year at Speers Point Park, Closebourne Morpeth & Lambton Park. Margo paints with acrylics, has recently discovered she also likes ink & likes the way these mediums feel when moving them around with a brush. Margo paints objects & scenes that you could easily recognize but she tries to make them more than what she sees, so she abstracts them a little bit. Margo enjoys painting both realistic and abstract works & likes to paint things that catch her eye & subjects which have great colours. Itās very satisfying for Margo when she finishes a work which she really feels good about. What Margo likes about her creative life is that it makes her think & produces ideas, and one idea builds on another idea.
