Art Bazaar Lake Macquarie RESCHEDULED DATE
The rescheduled date for Hunter Arts Network’s (HAN) fourth annual Lake Macquarie Art Bazaar is Sunday 31 May 2015 & I will be having a stall. HAN was forced to postpone Art Bazaar due to poor weather. Art Bazaar will be returning to the grounds of Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery (LMCAG) from 10am – 3pm. Located on the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie, this award winning gallery with expansive grounds including Sculpture Park, mosaic pathway & Awaba House Restaurant Café is an exceptional cultural and tourist destination. Hunter Arts Network is thrilled to announce we have received a 2015 Stockland Community Grant!!! Thanks to Stockland Glendale we have received $500 which will go towards promoting our next Art Bazaar at LMCAG on 31 May! Newcastle’s Australia Day Market at Honeysuckle
I took part in Newcastle’s Australia Day Market at Honeysuckle in Newcastle today which we organised in collaboration with the City of Newcastle. Despite the day getting off to increasing rainfall, just after the event officially started luckily the rain eased up & we had a mostly fine day, this was followed by a very strong crowd there were thousands there! I had a very successful day selling three paintings as well!

WITHOUT their energy, dedication and generosity, it’s difficult to imagine how our community would function.
They are the local volunteers who give so much, yet ask for nothing in return.
And 25 most dedicated local volunteers have received 2014 Charlton Volunteer Awards.
Member for Charlton Pat Conroy said the awards were a way for the appreciative community to say thank-you.
“I know from reading through the nomination forms that these awards are just as, if not more, fulfilling for the people nominating a volunteer for an award because this is their way of saying that what you do is really important and we are grateful,” Mr Conroy said.

Photos from my exhibition this month
I am Finite Gallery’s Featured Artist for October 2014. The exhibition will run from Saturday 4 October to Sunday 26 October 2014 & all of Margo’s original paintings will be for sale.
Finite Gallery is located at 55 Caves Beach Rd, Caves Beach & is open Saturdays & Sundays from 10am – 4pm & will also be open on Monday 6 October during this exhibition on the October long weekend. Leslie Duffin launched the gallery in April 2013 & features a selection of beautiful art from local artists and craftspeople. The gallery which is strategically located between Newcastle & Sydney, provides a welcome addition to galleries in beautiful Lake Macquarie & is a haven for fine art.
