Art Bazaar is being held at Lambton Park for the first time on Sunday 29 November from 9am to 3pm. I will have my bright & colourful paintings for sale in my stall & there’ll be an incredible line up of stalls with more treasures for Christmas shopping!

Lambton Park is located on the Corner of Howe & Morehead Sts, Lambton, so Art Bazaar will be surrounded by beautiful parklands & great scenery. Lambton is a densely populated residential area located around some of Newcastle’s main roads making it a convenient suburb for transport.

Art Bazaar, a 2015 Hunter Local Business Awards Finalist, 2015 Stockland Community Grants Winner & 2014 QantasLink Hunter & Central Coast Awards for Excellence in Tourism Finalist, has developed into a major art event for the region which now attracts many visitors from out of the area and is the Hunter’s premier artisan and design marketplace. Art Bazaar Lake Macquarie RESCHEDULED DATE

HAN was forced to postpone Art Bazaar due to poor weather. Art Bazaar will be returning to the grounds of Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery (LMCAG) from 10am – 3pm. Located on the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie, this award winning gallery with expansive grounds including Sculpture Park, mosaic pathway & Awaba House Restaurant Café is an exceptional cultural and tourist destination. Civic Park, Newcastle will be bursting with family-friendly activities all day & night at Summer Art Bazaar on Saturday 6 December 2014 with live entertainment to 9pm.

Over 120 stalls with more than 300 local Hunter Arts Network artists selling their original handcrafted goods and Christmas gifts to 8pm.

This original home of Art Bazaar in the heart of Newcastle, adjacent to Newcastle Art Gallery & close to Darby Street, is where over 10,000 eager art fans come each year to purchase creative Christmas presents. This year Hunter Arts Network (HAN) will be sharing Civic Park with the City of Newcastle

Art Bazaar is a 2014 Finalist in the Hunter & Central Coast Awards for Excellence in Tourism & has become a highly anticipated event for both the public and the participating stallholders. It has stimulated the arts community and increased public awareness of the Hunter’s diverse artistic culture, successfully displaying the many individuals, groups, organisations and businesses. Applications are selected from HAN members and they carefully hand pick stallholders to ensure that shoppers have an array of local, handmade, unique, original & quality products. HAN does not accept mass produced or imported products, strives to promote professionalism, maintain the high standard of art works on offer at Art Bazaar, and encourage emerging Artists to take the opportunity to present their talent.

Free tracks samples from Newcastle University Choir’s first CD

Here’s the link for free tracks samples from Newcastle University Choir’s CD. The Choir intends to launch the CD at their Santa Swings concert today at 2pm at the Great Hall. The cover artwork, “Newcastle-Vivid”, by Newcastle artist Margo Humphries, was specifically commissioned for this CD by owner Joan Bona.

Newcastle University Choir CD Launch

Newcastle University Choir’s CD intends to launch their first CD at the Christmas Concert on 15 December. I’m looking forward to seeing the cover art!! The CD will be available for purchase at the Christmas concert, on the Choir’s website & at other outlets

The CD showcases the Choir’s sound, personality and flexibility. The repertoire has been chosen from choral works that have given pleasure to their audiences over the years, including movements from Messiah and other classical favourites, interesting Christmas music, and jazz with local jazz identity, pianist and composer Terence Koo.

Hunter Arts Network fundraiser through Newcastle Permanent

Mention Hunter Arts Network to help us raise funds! HAN is now participating in the Newcastle Permanent Introducer Program! It allows HAN to access $600 financial support every time a new loan is referred to Newcastle Permanent when Hunter Arts Network is mentioned in the application. HAN would like to call upon our network of members, stakeholders & customers to help secure the financial wellbeing of our non-profit incorporated organisation run by a committee of volunteers.
